Circus Side Show Wedding
My girlfriend Tabitha asked me to make her bridesmaid dresses for her Circus themed wedding. I would describe Tabitha's style as vintage, meets Betsy Johnson, meets punk rock. I have never been given so much freedom on a wedding project. She literally just said to have fun with it. At first I found this so intimidating (brides usually give me a very specific formula). Then I realized that this may be the only time I would have this much freedom to be creative. Not to mention a bride that has so much fun with fashion! My only direction was a color scheme. Her is what I came up with.....

My style
I was playing dress up with my vintage etsy dresses the other day. This one is the prettiest shade of green. I paired it with black heels and handmade shoe clips. Vintage jeweled purse, mirror ring, and 99cent gold bracelet make up the accessories. Cute little outfit for a night out!

My style
I fell in love with this pink gingham dress the moment I set eyes on it! It reminds me of a vintage country album cover. I know its a little costumey but I love the fit, and the scalloped edge on the skirt. I paired it with tights and a green jacket.
On the toes are my Steve Madden Clogs.

Fashion under Construction
Here are some recent clothing items I reconstructed. Its so fun to take items that are damaged, or ugly and turn them into something fun!

Comic Con
Living in San Diego, I look forward to Comic Con every summer. This year I cant wait to see the cast of Sons of Anarchy(again)!!! The people watching could entertain me all weekend. So many people dress up very elaborately. Sometimes its nice to show up in a little comic themed summer dress.

Behind the scenes
I have such a great time at our monthly photo shoots. It's the social part of my job. Most of the time I am sewing alone in my pajamas. No makeup, hair in a bun. But once a month I get to see my girls and play dress up. Here are some behind the scenes photos. For the next 2 weeks, I will be listing some new goodies on etsy.
